"We have just got back from a stay at River Mansion. Wow! What a find! It was a real pleasure to meet Debbie, the owner and host, who really made our stay.
She is the sort of person who, after talking to her for five minutes, you feel like you have known her for ages.
We booked the Woodland View Cottage as a night away for my wife’s birthday but, on arrival, Debbie had upgraded us to the larger Driver’s Cottage, as well as adding in a bottle of Prosecco and some lovely homemade cakes.
Both cottages are really cute, comfortable and nicely done out.
We also booked the hot-tub and sauna package which was absolutely fantastic and worth every penny!
My wife spent her birthday chilling out in the hot-tub drinking champagne, then drinking Prosecco and eating cake! Lovely! There are also several really nice and private seating areas around where you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity.
We didn’t feel the need to venture any further, but there are a couple of pubs in the nearby village which we may well try next time.
We didn’t realise that breakfast was also included, which was also fantastic – giant crumpets, almond croissants and a cooked breakfast!
We normally go for city centres when we book a night away or a short break, so this was very different but we are so impressed! Will definitely be back"
